Welcome to the Heart Of Eden Homestead!

Our large Christian family started our homesteading journey a few years ago while we were living on 1/4 acre property in the city. There was absolutely NOTHING about the cookie cutter house subdivision life that we loved. We realized a long time ago that the city life was just not for us. We were not happy with where we were in life. We were both born and raised city folks, but our hearts have never felt like we belonged there.

When we started this crazy new adventure, I felt like God was telling me that we needed to find some land and that we needed to do it quickly. Of course, most of our family thought we had lost our minds, but where He leads ... we will follow! It wasn't long after, that the property that we now call home fell into our laps. Our contingency offer was denied twice before God led me to write a heartfelt letter to the sellers.

After receiving the letter, they finally accepted our contigency offer on a Sunday evening and our home was up for sale the next morning. Crazy right ?? Within 72 hours, we had multiple offers on our home. We closed on both properties the same day within 30 days of being under contract. So, now here we are living the life on our beautiful 7 acres of personal paradise in the country! We have been blessed beyond measure!

Did I mention that we have NO CLUE what we are doing? It's okay though... God led us here and He has a plan for the Heart Of Eden Homestead! We are ready! Let the homesteading and farm adventures begin!

About us page - Picture Of Beau and Lindsey

Beau & Lindsey

My husband and I have been happily married for almost 11 years now. After leaving an abusive and unfaithful marriage, I was looking to learn some self defense in order to protect myself and my children in the future. I walked into a martial arts school and started classes.

It was love at first front kick! Hiya !

My husband is my martial arts instructor! We literally went on 1 date before he proposed and we were married 5 months later. It's an amazing love story covered in God's blessings! We're so blessed to have each other on this crazy ride called life. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Some Of The Family

Beau and I have a total of 8 children. The four youngest still live at home with us and the other four are adults starting their own journeys. Our children range in age from 1 to 22 years old.

Currently we have 6 boys and the 2 youngest are girls, but only God will decide when our family is done growing. Our children are absolutely loving the country life and are adjusting well to all of the changes that have happened around here. The adventures are just getting started!

We're a unschooling family so all the kids are home on the farm with me all day. We believe in child led learning and put most of the emphasis on religion, trade skills and career led education.

You will mostly see our four youngest children, but the grown up kiddos and grandbabies pop in from time to time to help out around here and to visit.

Fostering Love

We are also certified foster parents and our family continues to grow! Our family is a huge mixture of genetic backgrounds that have come together biologically, through marriage, through adoption and from fostering through foster care. We are blended and blessed beyond measure!

You will hear us talking about foster care and adoption often because it is something that we are passionate about. I'm even adopted! It has come full circle & is near and dear to our hearts!

Our oldest son and his wife also got certified to be foster parents, so they're on their own journey while Lolli and Pop embrace this new season of life and our new role as grandparents. So far, we are loving every minute of it!
